Wedding & Honeymoon Funtimes
Longtime-no-see Tumblr.
I’m planning on posting any updates and fun stuff from the wedding and honeymoon here so I can better share with those smart enough to keep off of Facebook. Plus it’s really just a handier format for it.
Going forward I’d like to continue that. We’ll see. I might be too busy having fun to share anything until we get back. But if I “just have...

Translation Party! →
If you haven’t met this site yet, what it does is translates anything in English into Japanese (via Google’s translation services) and then translates that Japanese back into English and then that translation back into Japanese and so on, until finally it reaches equilibrium; the point where the Japanese and English translations produce the same result. Just try it if you don’t...

Google Announces Chrome OS →
Google is finally releasing its own distribution of the Linux Operating System called Chrome OS. I’ll probably stick to Arch or Ubuntu, but to anyone who might have still doubted that Linux is the future of the desktop operating system you now have one more extremely big reason to consider changing your mind about that.
Oh, by the way, hi everyone. Expect me back on the Tumblr. Not more...

Just a friendly reminder
That agriculture, the very spark of civilization, is only 500 generations old- and human beings ourselves, only have had about 12,500 generations of existence (assuming 20 year generations). That’s only 1/25 of our existence that we haven’t been wandering in small groups and fewer baby-mamas than you might guess on the whole. The world is an interesting place.

This site will tell you when it’s ok to get up from a movie to go pee, and what you missed while you were gone. I have only ever gotten up to pee during a film once and I felt horrible about it. On one occasion that I needed to pee, I’m pretty sure I incured an actual injury from holding in a needed pee for such a long time. This site might be helpful if I fear I may ever find myself...

I caught this earlier today too. ’ Amazing stuff. I’ve been hearing about this project for ages but I was skeptical up until today of it’s usefulness if not it’s technical achievements. It’s not that I doubted it would work or that I wasn’t impressed with the mission or the technology behind it, but rather, all of the verbal descriptions I’d heard made it...

An Unexpected Defense of the Record Label.
So today over at reddit, I was having a conversation with someone about how people prefer to organize and manage their soft music collections and the formats they choose to use and the such, when I was surprised at how brazenly they admited to pirating 100% of their music. Surprised I guess only because this person was a self-style music lover and collector.
Below is my response. It’s...

Oh geez, really cool. Cool and pretty. Check it out? I think you’ll really like this. No really.
When you’re done marveling at how gorgeous this is, you could consider contributing (Howard) or if I may, I can link you to an article regarding what this must surely be an homage to.

Work. I’m genuinely very busy at work where I would otherwise spend most of my Tumblr/reddit/Twitter/Facebook time. This is good because it means I have a job where I’m still valuable. Not that unemployment doesn’t have its own allures. I’m being sued. Or, I was. This was keeping me busy until a day ago. I was being sued for a three-year-old car accident that I didn’t...
